On my 23rd birthday, Friday 7th of April 2017, I opened this website to share my ideas and experiences with the world. Three days later, I decided to start writing a piece everyday. I am not a Shakespeare, still a learner and I don’t have a stock of write-ups that I can just pull up everyday, but the challenge was something I wouldn’t shy away from.

Here’s Why.

The reason I decided to do this boils down to one axiom:

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit- Aristotle

The best way to be a good writer is doing writing activities that challenge you. The best way to be your best is consuming materials that challenge and inspire you and this website exists to give you just that. Come back everyday thirsty, with a deep hunger to be your optimum, to achieve that which you can’t; to push the boundaries of impossible.

It is said that it takes 10,000 hours to master a skill. Now that’s a lot of hours. But what if you could learn the basics and produce amazing stuff everyday. What if you take 1 hour each day training your voice, mastering your tennis strokes, building that app, reading out loud, spelling, writing those poems, making great paints or just being an awesome person. As you consistently do this, it becomes a part of you, It is therefore not something you are trying to do, it eventually becomes who you are.

So think of that one thing that you would do forever if you had the chance, and do it for about 1 hour everyday forever.  That way you’ll reflect and learn from your ineptness as you keep working everyday.

And even though just like me, you might have skipped some days of blogging, written some incomplete stories, painted some really bad pictures; at the end of the day; what you’re practicing moves from being what you do to who you are.

The only way to be outstanding at something is to be consistent at doing it. -Fiyin Kolawole
